Day 1- Tribal Maxi Dress

If you know me, you know that I have an affinity for all things girly and feminine. I am "one of those girls" who does their nails each week (I have a 2 hour ritual that drives my husband nuts), hates pants (because they are for boys), is obsessed with pink, and wishes we lived in the 1950's and 1960's where we could were Mad Men clothes ALL THE TIME.

I tend to have champagne taste on a beer budget, so I have come up with creative ways to get all sorts of things inexpensively. One of the best ways for me to get designer clothes within my budget is through buying broken pieces and mending them (did I mention that I LOVE to sew?).

Recently I was having a conversation with my sweet husband regarding my need for more dresses. He challenged me to wear all of my dresses and skirts without repeating any outfits to see how long it could last me. Challenge accepted.

I  made an additional rule in that I will not wear an outfit that costs over $30.00 WITH shoes included. I will be posting my tips and tricks on how I manage to get things so affordable. I am not sure if my adventure will be consecutive days, but I will post updates. Any guesses on how long I can last?

Day 1- Tribal Maxi Dress

I purchased this dress from Charlotte Russe for $7.50 in December. Always make sure to buy dresses out of season as they tend to be cheaper. I also purchased matching coral flats from H&M for $3.00 and the open cardigan is from The Limited and was $4.50. The coral bangle and earrings are from Banana Republic and were a total of $4.99. Total Cost= $19.99
