Day 29- Simple Blue Skirt

It's been quite a week and I have been pressed for time as Cory and I are recovering from our retreat with our students ALL weekend. I haven't had a whole lot of time to plan out my outfits (which is not a real problem, I know). I decided to go for my blue Target skirt ($3.00 with the belt) today because it was a little rainy and I have already abused my legs enough this year. I went with a basic top from Forever 21 that was $2.00 a million years ago. The shoes I chose are one of my favorite pairs, that were a lucky find from Rue 21 (which I never typically shop at) for $4.00! When you are wearing longer skirts, you want to make sure you are elongating your figure so you don't look stumpy, which typically means you need to go with a small heel or wedge instead of flats. I also chose to wear a chunky blue and tan necklace that I purchased from Gabriel Brothers for $3.00. Total Cost = $12.00

Day 28- Black and Blue

Hello Friends! It is warming up here in Northeast Ohio, but there is still a need to wear tights in the morning so my legs don't freeze. This outfit is not very "springtimey" but I have to get through all of my outfits according to my husband so here we go! It's hard to see the pattern on the skirt, but it's a zebra type pattern with dark blue and black stripey things. The skirt and sweater are both from the gap outlet. The zipper was broken on the skirt, so after I purchased a new one and made the repair this skirt was $2.50 in total. The sweater is lightweight and really comfortable and I found it for $2.00. The tights are NY & Co. and were $2.00. The earrings are from Forever 21 and were $2.00 as well, while the bracelet was passed down to me by Grandma so it's vintage and wonderful! The shoes are Gap as well and were $3.00 at the outlet store. The total cost for this outfit was $ 11.50

Day 27- Little Navy Dress

This is my take on "The Little Black Dress", although it looks dark in the pictures, it's actually Navy. The dress was a gift from my Mother in Law a few years ago and was originally from Forever 21 (surprise, surprise). The kelly green and navy cardigan is from Old Navy and was $6.00, Old Navy has the best cardigans in case you were wondering :). The earrings were made for me by a friend in college so they don't count toward the total. The shoes are from Target and were $2.99.
Total Cost = $ 8.99

*Also to those of you who made a big deal about me wearing pants yesterday, it  was 30 degrees in the morning and none of my tights were clean!! :)

Day 26- Rainy Day Polka Dot Dress

Greetings! It's a rainy day here in Northeast Ohio, but at least it's warm! I decided to go ahead with a nautical theme today and wore my Target polka dot navy dress ($2.99) with white and red accents. This dress was originally a junior's large, but I took in the sides and adjusted it to fit me. Buying pieces that are too large and taking them in is also a good way to get awesome outfits for cheap! I found the shoes at a local closeout store (originally from Target) for $2.99. The cardigan is from Gabriel Brothers and I remember it costing around $4.00. The necklace was from Charming Charlie's and was a gift, as well as my red belt. I went ahead with some classic pearl earrings which were gifted to me from my lovely husband as a wedding gift. Total cost = $ 9.98

Day 25- Coral Jersey Dress

I know I say it about most of my outfits, but this is one of my favorites. The coral color is totally awesome (and looks much better with a tan), and the jersey fabric is super comfy. The dress is from Gap and was $6.00. The sweater is also from Gap and was a gift, so it doesn't count toward the price, same with the necklace. The earrings are from Charming Charlie's and were $2.00. I LOVE having coral jewelry to mix and match all summer. The nude wedges are from Gabriel Brothers and were $9.00. I cannot stress how important it is to have nude shoes.. It's along the same level of significance as the little black dress. The adorable orange and coral bangle is from Banana Republic and I believe it was $3.99. Total cost = $ 20.99

Day 24- Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone! We ended up having amazing weather and got to spend a lovely day with family. I also happened to have an awesome outfit to go along with an even more awesome day! I was pretty excited to wear the skirt since it was brand new. The skirt is from Target and was the usual $3.99. The shoes were from Forever 21 for $7.00 and the earrings were a Charming Charlie's find for $1.99. The top is from Guess, but I found it at Clothes Mentor for $4.00. The total cost = $ 16.98

But wait! Do you see my husband's adorable outfit pictured! I found his pants at Banana Republic for $9.00, the shoes were a gift (Asics) and the fancy oxford was from Target for $2.99.
Total Cost = $11.99. I am just that good.

Day 23- Wool Gray Dress

This dress is also reminiscent of Mad Men and the 1960's. This piece is from Banana Republic and was originally a $95.00 dress, but I found it for $8.99. I found a zipper ($1.15) to replace the broken one in the back and installed it the next day. I typically wear this dress a lot around Christmas as it is a heavy weight wool and is too hot for the summer. The dress features an adorable pleated front which you can see in the pictures below. The shoes are from Journey's and were $4.99. The bangles and earrings were $5.00 together. The total cost = $ 20.13

Day 22- Black Turtle Neck Dress

This dress was given to me by one of my sisters. I have no idea where it's from or how much it cost when it was originally purchased. There's not a whole lot of unique features about it, so I added my NY & Co. belt for $1.00 and these fabulous shoes were found at Forever 21 for $7.00. I paired the outfit with a headband and a necklace that was also given to me, that helps to add some bling to an otherwise boring outfit. Total Cost for this outfit = $ 8.00

Day 21- Navy Reindeer Skirt

This is one of my favorite skirts because I made it. I plan on making a bunch more as it only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish. I found the fabric online to make some scarves for my etsy shop, and the store ended up sending me an extra yard with my order. So.....I didn't pay a dang thing for this skirt. I can only wear it in the winter due to it's pattern and flannel material. The boots are from Target for $9.00 and the white top is from Old Navy for $4.00. The necklace is from Forever 21 and was $2.00. The total cost is = $ 15.00

Day 19- Gray High Waisted Skirt

I really don't wear this skirt all that much anymore, but it still sits in my closet so I have to count it! I think it's from Target, although I have had it forever so I don't really remember. I remember paying somewhere around $4.00 for it several years ago. It's a little boring, so I had to dress it up with my belt from NY & Co for $1.00. The Gap flats were from the outlet for $3.00 and match the Gap sweater for $1.00. The total cost for this outfit = $ 9.00

Day 20- Gray Sweater Dress

I am REALLY particular regarding sweater dresses. Most of the time I think they are frumpy and don't look all that well on those that I see wearing them. However, I found this dress for $6.00 from Gabriel Brothers in the off season and really like it. I typically wear white tights with this outfit and have my trusty gray boots that were a gift. I don't wear a whole lot of jewelry when I wear this dress as it's a bit difficult to match, however, I did wear the vera wang charm bracelet my mom gave to me when I graduated from my master's program. Total Cost = $ 6.00

Day 18- Back Pleated Skirt

In looking over these pictures, I would likely pair the outfit with heels in the future to add some length. Since this skirt is sooooo long, it tends to box me in a bit and I am thinking flats were not the best option. However, we must press on. The ruffled pink top is from The Limited, but I found it at the thrift store for $2.00. The skirt was a gift for my birthday from my mom and the shoes were from Gap for $3.00. The skirt is about two sizes too large for me, so I don't wear it all that often. Cory said it didn't matter and I had to showcase ALL of my dresses and skirts. Total cost for this outfit = $ 5.00

Day 17- Sweater Skirt

This is another winter outfit that I needed to squeeze in before it gets too warm! I typically wear the skirt with some black tights in the winter to avoid my knees getting frostbite! I found this skirt at Gabriel Brother's for $6.00. The purple shirt is from Kohl's and was $3.00, while the gray boots were a gift from Christmas. The fun earrings pictured, were a gift from my husband who reported having no idea how much they were or where he got them from, so we are gonna go ahead and let that slide... The total cost for this outfit was = $9.00
